The following are the rules for posting to, and commenting on, the Windrush 6th Grade Computers blog:

  1. Please identify yourself by first name and last initial only. Please don’t use your full name or any other “tag.” If I don’t know who posted your comment, I can’t give you credit for it!
  2. You may respond to my posts and/or to your classmates’ comments.
  3. No personal putdowns! Remember, we’re here to discuss and critique ideas, opinions and information, not each other. Instead of “You’re stupid if you think copyright law is outdated…” say “I disagree with the idea that copy right law is outdated because….”

    I think it is a good idea to have copyright law is not outdated becuase it is wrong to steal peoples work that the did if you dont have their permission or if you get money or credit for their work.

    I think that copyright is one of the best things out there. It helps you to be able to keep your things original, and if anyone trys to steal your ideas, they can be put in prison.

    Why Copyright can some times be okay:
    1. When one is a historian, and copys down a quote from an old diary
    2. Paraphrasing (using ypur owm words, but still using the same ifo) two paragraphs for an essay

    What I see. What I hear.
    As I sat on a table outside I hear the wind whistling and the cars beeping. My paper moving and my friend thudding the table.
    The sun is shining and the bugs buzzing. Birds chirping, mountains freezing, and houses dead and old.
    The grass is swaying and the rocks still.
    The playground was dead and no one was to be seen.
    While I close my eyes blackness that’s all you can see nothing else.
    When it’s opened there in front of my eyes the world.

    Sampling: people can make anything they want out of pieces of your work. No one may copy the entire piece or use it for advertising.

    Non-commercial: people can use your work for anything they want as long as they don’t sell it.
    Share Alike: anyone can use your work as long as they license it the same way you did.
    Sampling: people can make anything they want out of pieces of your work. No one may copy the entire piece or use it for advertising.

    1.What is a creative commons license and what makes it different from a regular copyright?
    It tells what copyright you let people use. Copyright is fully restricted and protects your creativity from people but it doesn’t let you give people your work.

    2.Why was creative commons created in the first place?
    It was created to reuse, share and remix.

    3.Do you think it is important to have creative commons licenses along with regular copyrights? Why or why not? Yes I do because if you wanted to let other people use your work then creative commons would let you do that.

    1. It is important to have more than one company in music, tv, ect. because: you could get tired of just one company, or maybe you dont like the one company that makes everything, and the last reason is that if that company died then the whole word would go down.

    2. i beileve that the media does not do a good job presenting DIFFERENT types of info. or opnions, they usually only give out one message or one thing.

    3. there is not any music on the radie television shows ect that i wish want there.
